Restarting the Website
Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the content

Although i've never really been a frequent "blogger", I've had a blog/personal site on and off since about 2008. In that time it's flip-flopped between a portfolio and a pure blog, and something in-between, but i've never really made a point of "maintaining" the blog, and I think until today the site has been fully offline for about 2 years.

I've had a lot of life changes in that time - changed jobs 💼, moved to London 📦, participated in a pandemic 🦠, moved back out of London 📦 (thanks to the entire planet moving to fully remote work...) and in that time I've often thought about restarting my own site for writing more long-form than the 140 280 character limit on Twitter.

Reboot

I'm mostly motivated to write about projects I am working on in an attempt to document processes I go through (and keep some record of what I've actually done in case I need to refer back to it). I anticipate the majority of posts on this site will be in that vein, with a likely emphasis on modelmaking and miniatures (Warhammer etc) - though occasionally I might write about tech, programming, or anything else that takes my fancy. I'm not beholden to publishing a certain quota of blog posts for my job as some others in my industry are, so things will likely be sporadic - but let's see how we go...
